The ceremony in Presidential Palace to award honored people that are famous for their activities in promotion of Lithuania on the day of restoration of Lithuanian state – February 16th was held. 37 our country and foreign citizens also the Executive director for long years of Lithuanian Laser Association  dr. Petras Balkevi?ius, were awarded during this event. Dr. Petras Balkevi?ius was awarded the Knight’s Cross of the Order “For merits to Lithuania”, symbolizing more than half- century of hard-work in developing of laser technologies in Lithuania and abroad, thereby contributing to strengthening our country’s competitiveness and increasing its global awareness. Dr. Petras Balkevi?ius is not only the head of  laser technologies company EKSMA, but also one of the founders and promoters of Lithuanian laser ecosystem.
